Import your SportsEngine registration export

During the beta, registration stays on SportsEngine. LeagueRun brings those players in from a CSV, so you never re-key an export into a master sheet. There's no live SportsEngine connection yet. The CSV is the bridge.

Step 1: Export from SportsEngine

Run your registration report in SportsEngine and export it to CSV or a spreadsheet you can save as CSV.

Step 2: Match the columns LeagueRun expects

LeagueRun reads these column headers:

player_name, birth_year, experience, gender, available_nights, guardian_name, guardian_contact

  • birth_year is a 4-digit year, and it has to fall inside the division's age range.
  • experience is 1 to 5.
  • gender is girl or boy.
  • available_nights uses mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, separated by a pipe. For example, mon|wed.

Rename or reorder your SportsEngine columns to match these headers, then delete anything extra.

Step 3: Import into LeagueRun

  1. Open Registrations.
  2. Pick the division these players belong to.
  3. Click Import CSV.
  4. In the modal, confirm the division.
  5. Paste your CSV text into the box.
  6. Click Import.

Step 4: Read the report

LeagueRun tells you how many rows imported and how many it skipped, with the line number and reason for each skip. Common reasons: a missing name, a birth year that isn't 4 digits or is outside the division's range, or a duplicate.

Fix the flagged rows in your CSV and import again. Duplicates are detected, so re-importing the same file is safe. It won't create doubles.

Importing one division at a time keeps players in the right place. Repeat for each division.
