Understand registration fields
Every player record holds a handful of fields. Some are just contact info. Others feed the roster builder directly, so it's worth knowing what each one does.
The fields
- Player name. The player's full name. Required.
- Birth year. A 4-digit year, inside the division's age range. Used to confirm the player fits the division.
- Experience (1 to 5). How experienced the player is. The roster builder uses this to spread skill evenly across teams.
- Gender (girl or boy). Drives the option to spread girls evenly across teams.
- Available nights. The practice nights the family can make (Monday through Friday). The builder won't put a player on a night they can't attend when the division's night rule is set to strict.
- Guardian name. The parent or guardian to contact.
- Guardian contact. Email or phone for that guardian.
- Payment status. Where the player stands on paying. One of: Paid via SE (paid through SportsEngine), Offline, Waived, or Unpaid.
About payment status
LeagueRun tracks payment status only. It never stores a card number or an amount. That's deliberate. Payments run through SportsEngine during the beta, and LeagueRun stays out of that data.
Use the payment filter above the registration table to see, say, everyone still Unpaid.
Editing a record
Click edit on any row in the Registrations table to change these fields. Changes save to that player. To change how these fields get used when building teams, that's the division's balance policy in Season Settings, not the player record.
