Set a balance policy per division
Every division can balance differently. A U6 division might ignore skill entirely while a competitive U12 division balances it tightly. You set these rules in Season Settings, and they apply the next time you balance that division.
Set the rules
- Open Season Settings.
- Pick the division.
- Adjust the rules below.
- Click Save rules.
The rules
- Spread girls evenly across teams. Turn on to keep teams within a set number of girls of each other. Set the tolerance in girls. Requests that would break it get flagged instead of forced.
- Balance skill level across teams. Turn on to keep each team's average experience near the division average. Set the tolerance in experience points.
- Honor teammate requests. Turn on to place players who asked to play together on the same team, when the other rules allow.
- Honor coach requests. Turn on to give a family the coach they asked for, when that team has room.
- Practice-night availability. Choose how strict to be:
- Strict. Never place a player on a night the family can't make.
- Flexible. Place them anyway, but flag it.
- Ignore. Skip nights entirely.
Two things that always hold
- Team sizes stay within one player of each other, no matter what the policy says.
- Changes apply on the next balance run only. Saving a policy moves nobody. Your current teams stay exactly as they are until you go to Roster Builder and click Balance teams again.
Starting over
Reset to defaults puts every rule back to LeagueRun's defaults. It's there when a division's settings get away from you.
