What is LeagueRun
LeagueRun is league management for volunteer rec councils. It's the commissioner's workbench: registration intake, automated team balancing, practice and game scheduling, and a season dashboard that tells you what still needs attention.
It replaces the tangle of exports, forms, and master spreadsheets you use to run a season. You bring your registrations in, LeagueRun builds balanced teams in minutes, you schedule practices and games, and families get a clean link to their team's schedule.
What LeagueRun does in v1
- Registration intake. Enter players by hand or import a CSV (including a SportsEngine registration export). Each record holds age division, experience, gender, guardian contact, practice-night availability, and payment status.
- Roster builder. Auto-balance players into teams by skill, gender, requests, and available practice nights. Lock the assignments you like, re-balance the rest.
- Practice scheduling. See field capacity against team demand, assign teams to slots, and catch conflicts before they bite.
- Game scheduling. Generate a round-robin where every team plays every other once. Each game is one entry that shows on both teams' schedules.
- Team schedule pages. Every team gets a public, read-only link families can open from a group chat.
What it doesn't do yet
- No in-app payments. During the beta, registration and payment stay on SportsEngine. LeagueRun tracks payment status only, never card numbers or amounts.
- No public self-registration or family logins. You (the commissioner) enter or import players in v1.
- No coach logins yet. Coaches receive rosters and schedules; self-service tools come later.
Who uses it
Commissioners run the whole season inside LeagueRun. Coaches receive their rosters and schedules. Families open a link to see practice times and games. One login role ships today, and it's yours.
